Raffles Jakarta Student Advances Into Porsche Contest’s Final Round

Porsche, an internationally famous automotive company offered our design students a tremendous opportunity to expand their creativity through the “Code of The Curve” Decal Design Competition. To promote the competition, Porsche visited Raffles and formally introduced the competition along with its prizes, including an amazing all-expense paid trip to Germany to visit the Porsche museum and its factories.

Seeing the challenge to enrich his experience and portfolio, our Visual Communication student Ghiffari Susmadhia Harris responded quickly and began researching for his design submission. By applying both his passion for design and Raffles-based know how, Ghiffari decided to “style up” a yellow Porsche car with the simple yet elegant, modern take on the batik tradition. Batik has been internationally acknowledged as part of Indonesia’s unique heritage.

As a result, Ghiffari’s hard work paid off as he was selected as one of the top 10 finalists in the competition. Congratulations! We wish him the best in his current studies and in his certainly bright future ahead, hopefully as  a dynamic design expert.

May The Prize With You Ghiffari!!
